6th grade common core

Number concepts, including basic operations and intergers 

Communicate math using diagrams and words

Modeling and solving equations using ratios and rates

Introduction to geometric shapes and the 3D world

Note: This class will also help students prepare for the math placement test to bridge over 6th grade math

7th grade common core

Gain knowledge of functions with relation to algebra and graphs.

Modeling slope as a rate of change, writing, solving, and graphing linear equations, identifying and expressing trends

Explain how to solve problems and how to read outcomes clearly

Examine the ideas that are offered both verbally and graphically.

8th grade common core

From a variety of physical, numerical, and verbal descriptions, create algebraic models.

Utilize a variety of techniques to solve equations.

Justify responses with exact mathematical language.

Relationship between constant rate of change and mathematical, physical, and linguistic models

Utilize technology to find solutions

Strengthen and expand your knowledge of statistics and probability

Algebra I

Recognize the characteristics of real numbers.

formalize the functional language

Examine verbal, numerical, visual, analytic, and other functions.

Create equations, inequalities, and expressions from physical models.

Utilize technology to identify connections, validate hypotheses, and resolve issues

Officially and informally express their mathematical understanding.

Algebra II / Trigonometry

Create a functional algebra using operations, composition, and inverses.

Examine instances where exponential and logarithmic functions are involved.

Work with verbal, numerical, graphical, and analytic functions.

Study optimization issues

The relative rates of change of exponential and linear functions are compared.

Learn the idea of an infinite sum as the maximum of all possible partial sums.

Utilize the normal, curve, and data modeling when working with statistics in numerical summaries and calculations.
